Role Overview
Lead and execute Climate in Africa’s sustainability partnerships and CSR strategy. You will secure high-value agreements with top corporations and government agencies, positioning our network as the premier climate-data solution in Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnership Development & Deal-Making: Prospect, pitch, and close CSR funding and partnership agreements with leading corporations. Negotiate MOUs with local governments and national agencies.
- Strategy & Roadmap: Design and implement a sustainability engagement strategy aligned with corporate CSR objectives and SDGs . Develop frameworks for carbon credit validation, B-Corp certification support, and ESG reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain executive-level relationships across private sector, government, and NGOs. Represent Climate in Africa at industry forums, conferences, and board-level meetings.
- Metrics & Reporting: Define KPIs (e.g., # of partnerships closed, CSR funding secured, carbon credits generated). Prepare quarterly impact reports and sustainability disclosures for partners and regulators.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s and Advanced Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Development, or related field .
- Experience: 5+ years in CSR, sustainability, or environmental partnerships—ideally in Africa. Proven track record closing million-dollar CSR or sustainability deals is an advantage.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Deep understanding of CSR frameworks, SDGs, carbon markets, and ESG reporting standards.
- Strong network within Nigerian corporates and government agencies.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using KPIs to drive decision-making.
